CYBER COUNSELING SEBAGAI PELAYANAN KONSELING INOVATIF BERBASIS INTERNET DI DALAM GEREJA

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

In a simple concept counseling can be interpreted as a process of assistance provided by counselors to counselees to solve the problem, the counseling process aims to help counselees to be able to understand themselves and their environment, so that they can bring someone to conditions that are happy, prosperous, comfortable, and are in conditions of life that more effective. Counseling that is commonly done is by direct face-to-face format between counselor and counselee, but in line with the rapid development of technology the counseling process comes with different methods, it means that the counseling process is not only interpreted as a face-to-face meeting (face-to-face) between counselor and counselee conducted in the room, but more than that counseling can be done with a long distance format and with the help of technology that is connected by the internet network, known as cyber counseling, the counseling process can be held with various media that allows long distance counseling relationships.

ABSTRAK

Dalam konsep yang sederhana konseling dapat dimaknai sebagai proses bantuan yang diberikan konselor kepada konseli untuk menyelesaikan masalahnya, proses konseling bertujuan membantu konseli untuk dapat memahami diri dan lingkungannya, sehingga dapat membawa seseorang menuju kondisi yang membahagiakan, sejahtera, nyaman, dan berada pada kondisi kehidupan yang lebih efektif. Pelaksaan konseling yang sudah lazim dilakukan adalah dengan format tatap muka langsung antara konselor dengan konseli, namun sejalan dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi proses konseling hadir dengan metode yang berbeda, itu artinya proses konseling tidak hanya dimaknai sebagai pertemuan tatap muka (face toface) antara konselor dengan konseli yang dilakukan diruangan, namun lebih dari itu konseling dapat dilakukan dengan format jarak jauh dan dengan bantuan teknologi yang dihubungkan oleh jaringan internet, yang dikenal dengan istilah cyber counseling, proses konseling dapat diselenggarakan dengan berbagai media yang memungkinkan hubungan konseling jarak jauh.
